Welcome to our
Sunday service.
At
10.30am Rev Skinner will lead a sacrament service. The young people have a
Junior Church meeting at 10.30 am in the schoolroom. Any young visitors are very
welcome to attend.
Tonight at Unity Oldland at 4pm Gary Hoare will lead a tea service. At Bitton at
6.15pm Rev Den Harding
Sunday 11th May is our Church Anniversary Rev Hilary Cooke will be leading the
service at 10.30am and 6pm.

Friday and
Saturday 9th and 10th May , 10 am to 6 pm at Castle Park, Broadmead. ETHICAL
EXPO 2008
There will be a huge
exhibition of stalls, workshops stalls etc. all focused on how we can change the
world by making ethical decisions about how we live, eat and wear. Events and
activities for children will be included.
Saturday 10th May.
May Fair 2 to 4.30pm at UOMC. Unity Brass will be playing. Also colouring
competition and fancy dress, craft table for children, games, raffle, book and
white elephant stall, cakes and afternoon tea.

Christian Aid Week If any one is unable to collect this year please would
you let me know. However I need more collectors. Can you help with Christian Aid

Saturday 24th
May
A day of
prayful reflection to mark the anniversary of John Wesley’s Conversion and to
pray for our mission in Bristol and South Gloucestershire. At Westbury Park MC,
Etloe Road BS6 7QB. The church is open from 10 am til 4pm. 10.30am a
celebration of the Lord’s Supper. A reading from Luther’s commentary on the
epistle to the Romans (which was the instigation of Wesley’s experience.) A
labyrinth featuring stations to mark our progress in reshaping our mission.
Stillness and silence. A service of prayer at the close of the day. Feel free
to come and go as you are able.
Sunday 25th May
Wesley Walk starting at the New Room, Broadmead, Bristol at 3 pm, led by Rev
David Weeks. The walk will visit the many places associated with the 18th
century social and religious Methodist revival. About 90 minutes and ending with
light refreshments.
Sunday 15th June
Exultate Singers present an afternoon recital concert at the New Room, Broadmead,
Bristol at 3 pm. Tickets £10 (children £2) from David Worthington at the New

News from the pews!
Message from Rev Andrew - A very big thank you for everybody’s kind wishes,
prayers and support as I commence my sabbatical. I embark on this very special
experience feeling greatly blessed and though now ready for the rest and
opportunities a Sabbatical can offer also look forward to my return at the end
of August. Peace and Blessing. Andrew.
I am delighted to inform you that Brenda Andrews and Joy Harris will be our
Senior Stewards for the next 12 months. I am sure we will give them our support.
Our
Rainbows tell us that two leaders are about to retire and without new
leaders the group may have to close. If you would like to assist with this
